Through these effects, we aim to strengthen our company-wide execution capabilities and engage in open communication with our customers, employees, shareholders, partners, and local communities regarding CJ's sustainable future.

Dear Valued Stakeholders,

The year 2024 presented a multitude of challenges across all facets of corporate management,
including heightened global economic uncertainty, escalating geopolitical tensions,
intensifying climate crises, and increasing complexities in supply chains.
At the same time, societal expectations surrounding corporate sustainability and responsible management have significantly intensified,
placing greater emphasis on the role and accountability of businesses.

Amidst these changes, CJ Corporation has remained steadfast in its efforts to internalize ESG management and strengthen the capabilities for company-wide execution.

On the environmental front, we identified climate-related risks and established response strategies to address them proactively.
We enhanced our ability to respond to climate change by improving the frameworks for measuring and managing greenhouse gas emissions.
Furthermore, we promoted activities aimed at minimizing environmental impact,
with a focus on expanding the use of renewable resources, advancing resource circularity,
and reducing waste generation.

In the social domain, we implemented programs to attract and develop top talent,
alongside HR systems that support organizational engagement.
We expanded our safety and health management systems to encompass our global business sites to ensure the well-being of our workforce.
In addition, based on our human rights management policy,
we assessed potential risks on human rights and are progressively expanding the scope of our due diligence on human rights across major subsidiaries and key supply chains.

We are also reinforcing ESG risk assessments across our supply chain,
including those related to environment, safety, and compliance.
By implementing a variety of partner support programs,
we aim to foster mutual growth and collaboration with our partners.

On the governance front, we have strengthened the expertise and operational efficiency of the board through various committees under its purview.
At the same time, we remain committed to establishing a structure for responsible governance that enhances shareholder value and safeguards shareholder rights.
